Last minute gig @ 12Bar in London :) We are supporting China Soul, David Soul’s (yes, the Hutch in Starsky and Hutch) daughter, who is launching her new single with Chaz Jankel of The Blockheads (who was up for a BAFTA yesterday for the music of the Ian Dury movie Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll) in 12BarClub this Wednesday, 24th Feb. We’ll be doing our acoustic set and expect to be onstage at 8pm xxx TPBR
Blimey O’Reilly, it’s February 2010. This fact probably isn’t as remarkable as the sentence suggested, but never-the-less, we thought it would be helpful to send you a cheeky and hopefully swift update to let you know when and where we shall be playing over the next few weeks.

We, The Penny Black Remedy, are very excited to be supporting The Flying Padovanis on 20th March 2010 @ Tunbridge Wells Forum. The Padovanis are former Police guitarist Henry Padovani, UK Subs bass player Paul Slack and Johnny Thunders drummer Chris Musto will be performing their energetic instrumental rock n roll set.
TPBR are delighted to be playing the fabulously fun Stranger Than Paradise @ The Rest Is Noise in Brixton on Sat 23rd Jan. We shall be onstage around midnight and entry is £5.
The night shall be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Gypsy Jazz legend Django Reinhardt’s birth, so please feel free to come sporting a particularly suave moustache …

Our next live show will be at the Norwich Arts Centre supporting Oysterband. We’re very excited to be playing this famous venue which has seen an amazing array of shows from bands such as Coldplay, Nirvana, Oasis, Muse and The Manic Street Preachers as well as blues legend Dr John.
Oysterband were once the bad boys of folk and rock, but have grown over the past five years into the role of musical custodians and godfathers of folk. More info about the gig can be found on the Norwich Arts Centre …
