We are ridiculously excited about our imminent trip to Croatia and Slovenia where we shall be playing a series of shows with our dear chums and sensational surf-rock legends, The Bambi Molesters. Here are the dates and venues we’ll be playing.

This will be our last UK show before we head out to Croatia to play a short tour with The Bambi Molesters (in Slovenia and Croatia), after which we will be embarking on the recording of our second album (in Zagreb).

Our dear chums at EyeSeeSound have uploaded their third podcast onto their website, www.eyeseesound.tv It includes a chat with Keith and a couple of TPBR songs, so we thought you might be interested in having a wee listen. Below is a statement from their head honcho and self-confessed benevolent dictator, Julian Bowman.

We are as giddy with excitement as a group of particularly excitable children embarking on an enormously exciting trip to a monkey house full of cheekily excitable monkeys to let you know that we shall be playing our first full show of 2011 this weekend…

“The band are back at Larmer Tree by public demand after a storming set at last year’s festival. Their music is a fusion of country, blues, punk, ska and Balkan folk and is darkly comic. With songs about drinking and angels, including the wonderful Gypsy Hospital Death March, and catchy sing-along choruses they make each performance a rowdy and unforgettable experience.”

We are positively weak at the knees with giddy excitement to officially announce that preparations are currently being well and truly made for the recording of our second album.

The first show is on Friday 28th Jan in the world famous 100 Club, where we shall be supporting the wonderful Boothill Foot-Tappers. We will be playing a half hour set and are due onstage at 8:15pm and tickets are £15.

We are deeply to honoured to have been recently featured on the incredibly talented and lovely Briony Chappell’s personal music blog. The feature contains a lengthy interview with Keith, links to videos and music and says many a nice thing about us.

It is with both an exultant hurrah and an excitable hooray that we once again find ourselves in the midst of that particular season in which it is not only appropriate, but actually rather agreeable to be jolly (cue many subsequent and in our case, quite appropriate, ‘fa la la la la’s').

Tomorrow (Tues 14th) is The 12 Bar’s birthday party and we feel extremely honoured to have been invited to come down and play a short set (approx 25 mins). Other 12 Bar Stalwarts on the bill are; Vince Ray and The Boneshakers, Vince McCann, Viva Las Vegas, Malcolm Kaksois & Band, Emma Tricca, John Devlin & The Revolvers and The Knox.
