Our dear chums at EyeSeeSound have uploaded their third podcast onto their website, www.eyeseesound.tv It includes a chat with Keith and a couple of TPBR songs, so we thought you might be interested in having a wee listen. Below is a statement from their head honcho and self-confessed benevolent dictator, Julian Bowman.
“EyeSeeSound have released their third podcast of amazing (mostly) independent and DIY music and (pretty much totally) irreverent chat and (occasional) laughter.
Podcast 003 was a 2 hour demo podcast for Dandelion Radio. We failed to make the grade. They loved our musical choices but didn’t think our presenting style was in keeping with what they’re about. Personally we think Keith blew it, but what are you going to do? Our community service order meant he had to be included.
Yes, that is correct, as well as our lovely musical choices and witterings we have an extended interview with the rather delicious Keith Thomson from the rather divine The Penny Black Remedy. Keith gets insulted, gives us remarkable insights into his past and personality, submerges us beneath waves of delectable wit and also picks some of the tracks that are played on the show. In addition you can hear two really rather wonderful live TPBR tracks on there as well: Gypsy Hospital Death March and I Cried Myself Sober.
Plus he’s Scottish and we got to take the mick.
Podcast 003, a serious winner (unless you work for Dandelion Radio of course).
ps: Dandelion Radio is actually a really wonderful online radio station that you really should check out (after you’ve checked us out) and though we are a bit gutted they didn’t take us on, we do understand why… and so will you if you listen to us then listen to them :)
