Having just returned from the absolutely delightful Larmer Tree Festival we shall next be gleefully galloping off like exceedingly eager equinae to The Secret Garden Festival in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, where we shall be playing two shows, both of which are on Thursday 22nd July. Our first show is at 9pm on The Artful Badger Stage and the second is at 11pm on The Lizard Lounge Stage, where we are very much looking forward to reuniting with our dear old amphibious chums, Mark and Lee.
Other acts performing at the festival are Florence & The Machine, Mumford And Sons, Lykke Li, Noah & The Whale, Zero 7 and the Gorrilaz DJ’s. This is our first time collectively playing The Secret Garden Festival, and have heard many nice things said about it by many a disparate/trust worthy chum, so we can’t wait to get there. If you are planning to go and/or have tickets for this event, please do pop down to either of these stages and say hello. As always, it would be wonderful to see as many of you there as possible.
Talking of The Larmer Tree Festival, we are nothing short of blutterbunged beyond beguilment to see that we have been mentioned on their website’s homepage as being one of their personal highlights of the festival; being mentioned alongside Toots & The Maytals, Babylon Circus, David O’Doherty, Tunng, Chavo, James Yuill, The Wardens, The Joker and The Thief and The Dukesbox. Such an accolade is a genuine honour, as The Larmer Tree was a very special event for not just us, but for everyone who attended.
It was simply brimming with wonderfully varied acts and had an intoxicatingly cockle-warming vibe which was effortlessly implemented by its organisers and crew, and which merrily transcended with ease to the audience, many of whom have become our new dear chums. We would very much like to say an enormous thank you to everyone involved in this festival, crew and audience alike, for making it such an unutterably enchanting and unforgettable experience (click here for photos).
Also, news has just come in that The Arcane Festival in Oxford on Sat 31st July has been postponed until the 4th and 5th September, which regrettably means that we won’t be able to play it due to prior commitments. We would like to wish them all the best for a great festival.
Big love,
TPBR
